I know my song selection can be random, but something about this 1985 Whitney Houston song is my go to mood lifter. Seeing the faces of people hearing this random song in the middle of a house music set is priceless, and that’s usually the moments I wait for the most in my sets. Fun fact- this song was originally written for Janet Jackson who passed on it. I’m a sucker for 80’s music, maybe because that’s the golden age of sexy sax solos, maybe it’s because of the big, unapologetic choruses, and maybe it’s because they just went big- big with the drama, big with the love, big with the colors, with the music videos, with everything.
